Ang Akong Allowance
Ang akong allowance,
Kahimsog ang dala.
Dili lang sa wallet,
Pati pud aning tiyana.

Mag-inihap sa adlaw,
Malipayon kung kinsina.
Ang gadagan sa huna-huna,
"Yes naa na sad ko'y kwarta!"

Kaning ATM card
Magsilbing instrumento,
Ihungit lang kaisa,
Iluwa'ng sapi, haskang ayusa.

Pero ngano allowance,
O akong minahal nga allowance.
Sa bisag unsa'ng tinihik,
Mahurot man ka ug dali?

Bamboo

Tall and thin and brown
Walking on the fluffy cloud
Beautiful bamboo.

My haiku describes me actually. (Well, not the "beautiful" part). Like a bamboo, I am tall and thin. Like a bamboo, I am rigid and awkward. But like all awkward creatures, I long of moving and walking on a cloud. Oh so graceful and demure. But despite everything, the flaws and all, it's my being cumbersome that makes me beautiful the way I am.
Sun

The heat stings,
but every pain is meaningful.
The heat burns,
but not every burnt thing is black.

Your light shines above me,
my frail body feels warm.
But what is cold against warmth?
Warmth keeps you living.

Without you, it's black
I couldn't see my path.
I love your ways,
the way you are is what's best.

When you're up,
the grass grow, the leaves eat.
The birds serenade my delicate ears.
You are amazing.

(You are my sun Pa. I miss you.)

because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."

Whaaat?!
People are ACTUALLY reading my "products"?! Like the fruits of my 1300cc brain stuff? Huuwooooow!
Thanks for the support guys, though you're only spooned with mediocrity. Don't worry, I'm working on my writing AGAIN, after I stopped when I graduated High school. Hopefully I'll improve eventually. :)
I MISS WRITING. :D

6/12/10

Hollow-ween

The insecurities I've walled up at day
Crumble and come eat me up at night.
Just like a worm chomping through
The insides of an apple;
Slowly but surely,
Bit by bit,
Heeding on the essential parts that hurt most.
A core-less fruit is the remnant.

11/6/10

StarGazing

Beyond the vastness of black
I reach up to touch you, fingers like twigs
Pointing up the Heavens.
Reaching out to the unknown.

Tonight I wallow in melancholy.
With my back to the ground,
My eyes struggle, glide through
The darkness that is.

Oh, there are stars.
Flashbacks start to play,
Hoping it's you I see
You with that glister of a twinkle.
Blink Blink Blink

For once you were mine,
Now stolen from my grasp.
Like the kiss of a traitor
Leaves a horrid wound.
The inevitability of death.
